When I was younger and used to somewhat believe in christianity (I was sort of an extremely weak agnostic leaning to actual belief), I came up with the idea that satan is god and god is satan, and the version of the battle in heaven that we hear about (that lucifer lost and god won) is made up, that lucifer actually won and cast god out of heaven, and now satan is masquerading as god in order to increase the suffering of people.
Read the bible again with that idea in your head. It suddenly makes significantly more sense.
The priest I mentioned it to wasn't pleased with my ideas, though.
